RAD ED is your home for Ohio radiologic education and offers the complete preparatory General X-ray Machine Operator's (GXMO) didactic education course to make you eligible to apply for the Ohio Department of Health’s (ODH) GXMO licensing exam. RAD ED also provides the six (6) clinical modules as designed by the ODH. Our clinical education modules give you not only high quality didactic education, but "hands-on" simulations as well. Both didactic & clincal classes are provided at a convenient central location in the Akron, OH area. Or if you have digital equipment of your own, all education modules can be scheduled at your own imaging facility (an additional travel fee may be required). Podiatric, Bone Densitometry, and Skull & Facial Bones clinical modules are provided on-demand.
RAD ED also provides ODH-approved continuing education (CE) courses to meet the requirements for your GXMO license renewal. By taking any of the six (6) clinical modules you increase the types of radiologic exams you are licensed to perform and simultaneously improve your employment marketability. Each clinical module counts towards for eight (8) CE credits and each of the four (4) didactic segments (Saturday or Sunday AM or PM) count for four (4) CE credits apiece.
And if you already have the all the clinical modules you want, RAD ED also offers general topic continuing education (CE) courses. These three (3) hours subjects include pediatric-geriatric considerations, radiation protection issues, imaging artifacts, pathology, as well as many other topics that will help you hone your radiologic skills.
